School trips at Emirates Bio Farm
Our field trip for schools are focused on education over a two to three hour program for students of all ages. We aim to reinforce topics taught in the school by showing practical examples based on curriculum provided by the school. We aim to educate by allowing students participate in all aspects of farming from seed to harvest.
We welcome school groups on Mondays to Thursdays from November through to April.

The main focus of our educational programs is the farm tour. All students will participate in hands on learning throughout the sessions that are catered to all age groups.
Little Farmers program (Elementary students/Cycle 1)
- Farm tour: Walking tour around the fields that goes into depth about sustainable farming and our methods of chemical-free crops. Students will get a chance learn and experience farming in the UAE.
- Free play: We have a goats’ feeding area and a full interactive play area for the students to enjoy and make use of our tables to have their lunch.
Green Thumbs program (Middle School/Cycle 2)
- Farm tour: Walking tour around the fields that goes into depth about sustainable farming and our methods of chemical-free crops. Students will get a chance learn and experience farming in the UAE.
- Free Play: We have a goats’ feeding area and a full interactive play area for the students to enjoy and make use of our tables to have their lunch.
- Workshop: we offer a variety of workshops focusing on upcycling and sustainability as the main themes through fun activities.
Eco- leaders program (High School/Cycle 3)
- Farm tour: Walking tour around the fields that goes into depth about sustainable farming and our methods of chemical-free crops. Students will get a chance learn and experience farming in the UAE.
- Choice of learning module: we offer a one hour in depth education session that focuses on a chosen topic surrounding farming.
Optional Add-ons
Plant a tree: We offer an opportunity for students to contribute in combating climate change through a tree planting activity of the UAE national tree- the Ghaf tree. Students can participant in greening the desert by planting a Ghaf tree in the area that surrounds the farm. We include a plaque ceremony, will have an irrigation and space set up, and continue to have our team nurture it so students can come back to visit their class’s tree.
Plant a Seed: Students will learn proper planting and maintenance techniques while preparing a vegetable pot to take home.
Color Clay Pot: Students will color clay pots and take it back home with them to plant in them.
Organic Lunch/Snack: Treat the students to an organic lunch after a day of learning in the fields. We grow 55 varieties of vegetable and fruit at Emirates Bio Farm. All our dishes contain organic farm fresh produce, harvested just for you on the day of your event.
